Rev Sharon Townsend Pastors Junction Community Church, a branch of New Testament Assembly Church, UK. Dorothy Dwyer is also an active member of Junction Community Church.

In their work at Junction Community Church in bereavement counselling and the bereavement support groups which they have been running since 2011, they noticed that people were grieving, not just for the obvious loved one who had passed, but linked to other issues, not involving a death. It identified a need. People are carrying grief due to a range of life experiences and many times; people are grieving for others who are still alive.

This revelation led them widening the support offered and to set-up ‘Living Loss’.
