OUR TEAM
Rev Sharon Marcia Townsend is the Senior Pastor at Junction Community Church, a branch of the New Testament Assembly. She has been a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor, registered with ACC & BACP for over 20 Years, providing individual and group counselling addressing a wide range of subjects. She provides spiritual and pastoral counselling and encouragement to patients as an NHS Mental Health Chaplin, including; conducting regular church services for patients staying on the wards.
Rev Sharon is co-founder, along with Dorothy Dwyer, of the well received Living Loss organisation. She is passionate about community and believes that improving the mental health and wellbeing of individuals is key to a strong community.
Dorothy Dwyer is a member of Junction Community Church and a Certified Life Coach. For the past 9 years, she has worked closely with Pastor Sharon Townsend, facilitating the Loss and Bereavement support groups around London. Her work in training and Life Coaching has brought a complementary aspect to their joint ministry. She says it has been humbling and a blessing to be involved in this sensitive work. One of her personal ‘words to live by’ is Life Unlimited!
She has also been a foster carer for 15 years. Personal Coaching has been of particular interest and she has continuously trained and developed herself in this area for the past 20 years.
We also have a team of 12 volunteers, men and women who have been trained to facilitate the Living Loss Group Work Programme. They come from a range of ages, backgrounds and experience and some have been through our group programme. With their commitment and dedication, we are now able to provide our services further afield.
